What a way to close out 2021: The crowdfunding perks are in the mail!
As you may recall, I recently ran two Indiegogo crowdfunding campaigns, to raise money to pay for the production of my health literacy videos that are based on my book, "Never Pay the First Bill: And Other Ways to Fight the Health Care System and Win."
You all blew me away with your generosity! Together, we raised more than $55,000 to fund the animation, illustration and editing of the video curriculum, which I'm calling "The Never Pay Pathway." I expect to launch the videos to consumers and employer sponsored health plans in early 2022.
Contributors were promised perks and rewards depending on the amount of their contribution. My friends at Mythic Proportions, my branding and marketing agency partner, designed some AWESOME Allen Health Academy goodies: stickers, mugs, and T-shirts, that I'm showing off here for the first time. In the past two days my family worked with me to assemble about 80 boxes for supporters.
More rewards are still to come. Contributors will be credited online. And many backers will get a year of access to the videos, which will be available on-demand in an online education platform. Others who contributed at higher levels will get a webinar with me, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER credit on the videos, or even a live speaking engagement with me.
It's been super fulfilling to partner with you all in this effort. I continue to get emails every day from people who need help with their medical bills or insurance company denials. I'm proud to say that my book has been an engaging and reliable guide. I also enjoy coaching my readers and relish helping them win big victories - saving a lot of money while still getting the medical care they need. My health literacy videos are going to allow me to scale this work EQUIPPING and EMPOWERING consumers.
