I hope you are having a restful day with your loved ones. I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how thankful I am to each of you, for your support of this newsletter and all that we are building here at Allen Health Academy.

I’m thankful for your encouragement. Yesterday I received such a thoughtful email from one of the readers of this newsletter. “I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the work you do,” she wrote. “The newsletters and emails you send out are very insightful and I believe your work  really helps to  empower patients and policyholders to  be more proactive when it comes to health care.“

Paid subscribers are making a donation to help me educate more patients, and hire patient advocates to help people whose cases are too complex for them to navigate on their own.

We have a generous scholarship program for my Never Pay Pathway health literacy videos, where people can pay what they can. I’ve hired three patient advocates so far, for patients who are in desperate situations. I’ll be able to share those stories at some point, but given their complexity they take a long time to resolve. I’m thankful that our movement is building. We are pushing to change the mindset and behavior of employers and working Americans, so they become engaged and empowered health care consumers. The response I get from my book and videos and speaking is incredibly enthusiastic. We are gaining traction and momentum - and our numbers are growing. We are normalizing a new way of engaging with our health care system - and it’s saving people money while delivering better benefits. Be encouraged!
