I am in Florida and I think i know which hospital did this. I am fighting them on another blunder. They should have refunded me for a service, but only sent me partial refund. Then they said that they used the other part to cover another imaging service I had. They never told me that the refund was ready for me, until I called to ask, only then they sent me part of the money. They used the other part without my consent, they didn't even informed me. Now all the information on the patient portal, old statements and payment history has vanished. The last time this happened, they had sent my payment plan to collection, even though I had just paid one installment - it was auto-charge on my credit card. The time before that they sent a bill I had already paid to collection. This is the charity hospital/health insurance company/medical group/imaging center that has an almost monopoly of the market in Central Florida
